What do you think is the safest form of transportation?
People tend to have a general idea about airplanes, particularly commercial ones, saying that they’re the safest form of transportation. According to various studies, aircraft accidents kill only .006 people per billion miles flown. That’s a small number, especially compared to the fact that the majority of crashes happen to those that are privately owned.
However, we can’t argue with the fact that some airplanes are completely deadly, and we have no idea why they’re actually used. What’s interesting is that the majority of clients think that the airline that is responsible for the airplane is pretty much the same thing, but it’s not actually that.
It’s understandable to think that if something happens to an airplane, we’re more likely to say that it’s only the airline’s fault, but things are more complicated than that.
