If you thought that the gorgeous fashion capital was going to say pass to this extreme situation, you were wrong. The Big Apple is one of the most popular cities in the United States, and many people come there each year to see the biggest events, such as Fashion Week.
But let’s not forget that this city is on an island, and if problems with the sea levels occur, the citizens will feel them. Experts did a bit of research and predicted that the sea levels have a possibility of rising 4โ8 inches over the next 10 years. It might not seem like much, but it’s just enough to cause a few issues.
Moreover, if the sea levels rise by roughly 5 feet, La Guardia airport and some portions of Manhattan will be completely underwater, and we sure don’t want that.

This one is at least believable, seeing as though the entire city is below sea level, with the Gulf waters being held back by the levees. Sure, those levees could break again, though they’re under control of the Army COE.
