Last year has been a rough one when it comes to weather phenomena, but when it comes to tornadoes, we seem to have had fewer tornadoes when compared to two years ago. This doesn’t mean that we haven’t had a lot of tornadoes, as there have been 1,240 tornadoes reported, with 24 people losing their lives as a result.
The number may be down, but this doesn’t mean that it is only good news. Since 2016, the United States hasn’t reported less than 1,000 yearly tornadoes, with those numbers being well over every year. It is not a surprise given how finicky the weather has been in the last few years, but we should still be prepared to deal with any natural disaster.
And this included tornadoes! Knowing how much at risk you are to encounter a tornado raises your chances of living through the ordeal immensely. This is why you should know which states are most likely to have more tornadoes, which ones are included in the Tornado Alley, and which ones were spared last year from this natural disaster!
