The majority of Americans suffered greatly as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the difficulties brought on by the public health crisis were all but unsolvable for people who were already dealing with homelessness, a lack of shelter, or financial instability.
Emergency shelters, which previously provided at least momentary protection from the elements for those without homes, became danger zones as crowded areas turned into transmission points for diseases.
