The COVID Variant You Might STILL Get in Some States

At this moment, there are still a few COVID-19 variants going around in the US. With a test positivity rate of 11%, there are more than 41,412 cases reported per day. Maybe you would think that this is not that much, but keep in mind that if the positivity is over 5%, the transmission is considered uncontrolled.

It is true that the hospitalization rates and death rates have declined, but there are still more than 462 deaths per day. Also, most of us are testing ourselves at home and don’t report, making the process of correctly estimating the real number of infections a lot more difficult.
