In the past decade, there have been more droughts, floods, and tornado outbreaks than ever. This year, the National Centers for Environmental Information made a list of 115 natural disasters that are “to blame” for at least $1 billion in damage.
For instance, only Texas has reported billion-dollar natural disasters in the past decade, with Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois not so far behind. Hawaii was probably the only state that didn’t report a billion-dollar disaster in the last decade, according to the map. The Weather Channel had a look at the list and made a top 10 most disastrous storms in America, so here’s what you need to know:
