Swarms Of Locusts
Although it sounds like something you’d only find in the pages of the Old Testament, swarms of locusts are still a major problem for many countries in the 21st century. In 2020, starting in East Africa, the millions strong storm of locusts cut a wave of destruction through 5 states in India, namely Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Although technically locusts are harmless to humans, take two minutes to watch any video online of swarming locusts and ask yourself just how freaked out you would be standing in the middle of them. Despite not directly affecting humans, they do cause major damage to crops which in turn affects the people dependent on those foods.
