4. Paul Newman
Born on January 26, 1925, in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, Paul Newman would catch the acting bug early, performing in the theater aged just 10 years old. He would attend the Yale School of Drama for a year before studying at the Actors Studio under famed acting coach Lee Strasberg before making his way to Broadway.
Newman would make his big screen debut in 1954s The Silver Chalice which would see him win the first of the many awards he would collect over his 55 year career. Newman wasn’t just a talented actor, he was also a very successful race car driver, winning several national championships as a driver in Sports Car Club of America road racing.

Whats about Gregory Peck? What about Sir Lawrence Olivia? What about Steve McQueen? You missed the mark,,
Oh, these are GOOD! But they did forget a few of well renowned and classically handsome actors of the time, such as James Dean, Rock Hudson, Sidney Portiere and let’s not forget some rugged looking characters nowadays looked real good back then such as Clint Eastwood and even Charles Bronson and lest we forget, former Pres, Ronald Reagan. My taste is more in the Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford and Mel Gibson category tho lol
Charlton Heston and Patrick Swayze
James Garner-handsome versitile in many roles-also a good human being
Patrick Wayne
Out of the # 1 Paul and # 2 Robert
Paul Newman
Steve McQueen was one of the best!!!!!!
