6. Sean Connery
Born Thomas Connery on 25 August 1930, in Edinburgh, Scotland, this incredibly versatile actor is rightly recognized as the most famous Scotsman in the world. Connery began acting in smaller theater and television productions before being cast in a role that would change his life forever, the sexy and charismatic fictional British secret agent James Bond.
He would play that iconic character 7 times between 1962 and 1983 but was eager to move away from the role that made him a superstar for fear of being typecast. However, although he was associated with 007 (and considered the best one), he would go on to star in many other award winning roles and remain loved the world over until his death on October 31, 2020, aged 90.

Oh, these are GOOD! But they did forget a few of well renowned and classically handsome actors of the time, such as James Dean, Rock Hudson, Sidney Portiere and let’s not forget some rugged looking characters nowadays looked real good back then such as Clint Eastwood and even Charles Bronson and lest we forget, former Pres, Ronald Reagan. My taste is more in the Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford and Mel Gibson category tho lol
