Our sun isn’t as peaceful a star as anyone might initially believe. In reality, it creates very strong magnetic fields that are generating impressive sun spots, and most of the time these are bigger even than the Sun.
It also ejects an enormous stream of particles and radiation, which is known as the solar wind. If it’s kept in check by Earth’s magnetic field, this wind might cause beautiful northern and southern lights.
However, when it becomes stronger, it might also influence radio communication or cause power outages.
