Tyrone Power, blessed with the chiseled good looks and the gorgeous square jaw of a matinee idol, became well-known in the 1930s as a romantic leading man. Unfortunately, he had a smoking addiction, and it didn’t do any favors for his health.
Power, who smoked several packs of cigarettes a day, suffered a massive heart attack during the 8th take of a swordfight while filming “Solomon and Sheba” in 1959. He was declared dead in the ambulance before he could reach the hospital, and tragically, his wife gave birth to a son two months after his death in November of 1958. He will forever be missed!
