1. Pakistan (Disapproval rating: 73.0%)
A few years ago, 73% of the Pakistani respondents disapproved of the US leadership. But keep in mind that this is still an improvement because, in the past, the percentage was 79%. Since the terrorist attacks carried out by al-Qaeda on the United States on September 11, 2001, relations between the two countries have been tight.
Not long after the terrorist attacks, the US made Pakistan the base of its operations. This happened because the army was trying to catch al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Another problem was the Taliban, the rulers of Pakistan.
According to a study, 59% of Pakistanis saw the US as a bully and a greater threat than al-Qaeda. The poor government and economy are some other factors that contributed to the negative opinion about the US.
