1. XM2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle
This gun was manufactured by Remington in 2010, but it suffered a few modifications to suit the battles in Afghanistan.ย The XM2010 contains additional gun powder in the rounds it shoots and has a flash suppressor, a sound suppressor, and a thermal sleeve to conceal the warm barrel from FLIR in order to achieve quiet, good aim at up to 1200 meters. U.S. snipers are capable of shooting a soldier target nine out of ten times at 600 meters, or more than a third of a mile, when they complete the five-week training program at Fort Benning, Georgia.
