The cost of living is lower than in other places in Florida, and there are many retiree communities you can join. But this small town is not as quiet as it seems, and you can fall victim to robbery and pickpocketing.
The violent crime rate is 9.26 per 1,000 residents, and the property crime rate is 44.32 per 1,000 residents. Also, the poverty rate is quite high at 21.6%. We recommend not carrying large amounts of money with you and using an anti-theft travel backpack if you plan to visit this city.
