Of course, you might have a first aid kit in your trunk, but do you have one at home? If not, you should buy one as soon as possible! If you don’t want to purchase one, you can create one at home, but there are plenty of options available on the market and they contain a lot of useful things in case of an emergency.
The Red Cross, for instance, has a great one for families and it contains no less than 115 items and the cost is under $40. If you want to make it more Covid-19 friendly, you can add a thermometer and a pulse oximeter.
If that’s not enough for you and you want to take it up a notch, add a few emergency blankets to protect you from the cold. These blankets are light, compact, and affordable, and they are made of a reflective foil material that can be easily folded.
