In 2022, Alaska’s crime rate was almost 32.14 per 1,000 people, making it the number one state with the highest crime rate. 7. South Carolina
Some folks might be surprised that South Carolina made our top 10 list. In contrast, South Carolina has some of the highest rates of violence and property crime in the country. Can you imagine that in 2020 there will be almost 22,000 reported robberies? That’s a lot! The crime rate in South Carolina exceeds the national average. South Carolina had the seventh-highest rates of violence and property crime among the 41 states that submitted reports this year.

This is just a small list because there are still a lot of cities, small towns, and other places that are not only considered dangerous for tourists but also for the citizens themselves.
