2. Fitbit
In 2024, the company was forced to recall 1.1 million Fitbit Force fitness trackers because, due to their materials, some buyers had allergic reactions. The product was released in 2013 and was the most recent wristband they produced.
After many complaints, 1.7% of its users complained about skin rashes, so the company decided to recall the item and inform the customers that after they return the product they will get a new replacement watch and a full refund.
But this is not the only fitness tracker with problems. There was one more incident. Later, in 2022, Fitbit had to recall 1.7 million Ionic smartwatches due to a burning hazard. The device’s lithium-ion battery was susceptible to overheating, and this was hazardous for the customers.
