3. Michael J. Fox
Back to the Future was such a beloved movie that it was almost impossible for the staff to not make a sequel and then another one. But during the third film, something tragic almost happened. Beloved actor Michael J. Fox was filming a scene in which his character got hanged, but he wasn’t happy with his reactions on camera.
During the first few shots, the celeb was standing on a box and had a rope around his neck. The cameras were only filming the top half of his body, but for J. Fox, something was missing. It had to be authentic.
To make things a bit more complicated and real at the same time, he decided that it was better to try the scene without using the box. Everything went fine until he tried for the third time. His hand slipped and caused the rope to immediately tighten around his neck. He was left with his carotid artery cut off. The actor remained unconscious and hanging from the rope for a good couple of seconds until the director realized that there was something wrong with him. A year after the movie was released, Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
4. Isla Fisher
Isla Fisher is a talented actress who doesn’t mind putting herself in risky situations just for the sake of a movie role. But in 2013, while she was filming for the movie Now You See Me, things got complicated.
The gorgeous actress played the role of Henley Reeves, a magician and escape artist. She had a scene in which she was tied with huge chains in a large tank of water. Above her, there was another tank filled with plenty of piranhas. Just like magician Harry Houdini, she was supposed to escape on her own in a certain amount of time. If she didn’t succeed, the piranhas would fall into her tank.
Fisher did the trick on set and was okay with it, but when the cameras were on her, something happened. Her chains got stuck onto the floor, and although she had a panic button at the top of the tank, she couldn’t reach it. She tried pointing out to the staff that she was stuck, but they only thought she was a good actress and understood the character.
Fortunately, Isla Fisher managed to get out on her own, and you can watch the whole scene in the 2013 movie, Now You See Me. What can we say? She is definitely a brave and strong actress, and we’re glad that she is okay!
