This is where some of the factors weโve mentioned earlier begin to converge. The thing about turbulence is that it can occur due to a variety of different reasons, and these can intersect.
Letโs take a look at the transatlantic flights. Weโve already seen that there are several factors that can lead to flight turbulence over major Asian airports, such as those in Hong Kong and Bangkok.
Being near the Equator, mountainous areas, rough waters, and warm weather can all lead to rough flights. While flying into an Asian airport may result in one or more of these phenomena, staying within Asia for the duration of your flight raises the odds of many or all of them occurring.
