No.1: California
Depending on whether or not you are a California resident, you may have seen this one coming or not. But with the extreme weather episodes this state has been through in the last few years, you cannot deny the fact that they have been the ones hitting the extreme sides of both the cold and hot ends of the spectrum.
With high temperatures that have reached a high of 134°F, combined with the draughts they have had, we cannot be surprised that it is so easy for forest fires to break out so easily. At the other end of the spectrum, the colder months haven’t been nicer to Californians, especially when you take into consideration the huge amount of rainfall they’ve had lately and the fact that parts of the state end up getting low temperatures that can reach as low as -45°F, so the 67 inches of snow in one day doesn’t sound that surprising anymore.
If we end up talking about a state of extremes, California ends up taking the crown for it! However, we doubt that a state and its residents want to be the ones to win the extreme weather cup. Especially since it seems like we’re only headed toward worse.
