10. Chadwick Boseman

Our final entry is the most recent shocking death to devastate fans, especially as it came out of nowhere. Born Chadwick Aaron Boseman on November 29, 1976, Boseman would attend the Oxford Summer Program of the British American Drama Academy at Balliol College, Oxford, in England, in 1998 with help from legendary actor Denzel Washington. He initially wanted to be a writer and director but soon found his passion for acting.

Despite being diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, which eventually progressed to stage IV before 2020, he continued to work and kept his condition a secret. Sadly, he would pass away at his Los Angeles home on August 28, 2020, with his wife and family by his side. However, the legacy he left behind, most notably by bringing the superhero Black Panther/T’Challa, to life on the big screen, would inspire many. He was 43 years old.

  1. Chadwick impressed me a lot. I really liked his acting. I would watch his movies over and over I will miss him .

  2. Tonny-Broe Parkin

It really hit me when she got her heart attack onboard the plane she had boarded. I truly admired both her and her mother – both as human being and as actors.

  3. I’ve never even heard of your # 10, What about Elvis, the king of rock & roll, actor/love of every woman’s heart? Where does he come in at on your list?
Also, what about Paul Walker/actor, starred in The Fast and Furious franchise, the longest running street car racing action series spanning the 90’s until present. 20 years running with nine movies, six of which he was one of the leading roles as character Brian O’ Conner along side Vin Diesel, starring as Dom Torento. Paul, 40 yrs old , tragically died in a fiery car crash when the Porsche he was a passenger in lost control hit a light pole then a tree and exploded into flames, literally burning Paul to death.
Paul’s daughter, Meadow, later won a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche for a undertirement amount of money in the death of Paul caused by a faulty fuel line. Where does Paul fall into your devastating celebrities deaths?

    1. John F. Kennedy, I was 10 1/2 when he was killed, our whole family cried our guts out for losing him!

    1. CHADWICK BOSEMAN was the most shocking at only 43, as we didn’t see it coming he was so talented and kind, but WHITNEY HOUSTON, PRINCE and LUTHER VANDROSS hit us in the gut!!! ๐Ÿ˜ช๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต I really couldn’t see MICHAEL JACKSON living to be an old man, his death was shocking but not that surprising.

  4. Wow not mentioning the tragic and shocking murder of John Lennon is a shame. James Dean and Chadwick Boseman were very shocking as well. The others were sad and shocking but were inevitable due to their drug and alcohol abuse. Sharon Tate was another shocking murder. Thank you April patgault@comcast.net

      1. Marlene N Williams

Wow! A person that is racist, homophobic and most of all a bully is considered great! Why donโ€™t you move him out of office and into your dwelling?

      2. I agree! One of the best and he cares very deeply about the Florideans! How many other governors can say that they care about the people in there state NO MATTER HOW THEY VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. I swear I could go to a site about fairies and forests and find a whining Democrat making irrelevant comments.
“About” is spelled like this. Just so you know.

  5. The actress who devastated me was Diana Carroll and Olivia Newton John. R.I.P ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜ช๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿชฆ

  6. Robin Williams, Whitney Houston, both were devastating., to me. Robin Williams was a complete surprise! He was a genius and made his living with his brain. So, I can see he had no light at end of the tunnel experience. But, a shocking event. Whitney Houston, was incredible! Whenever she was singing I just took pause to hear the beauty of very note. But she couldn’t get away from. Bobby. The end was clear to me. Still an incredible woman. Her daughter was equally a shock.
Michael Jackson, equally a shock. Killed by the very people meant to help him. I always just stopped whatever I was doing to watch him dance. His music was fantastic! One of a kind!

  7. Can’t believe you didn’t name Michael Jackson and Kobe Bryant, who gave you this list. You had several that were substance abusers.

  8. Where is John Lennon on this list. I am not a fan of his or the Beatles but I recognized that his tragis death had a huge impact worldwide.

  9. I agree with the 10 celebrity deaths that left fans devastated but what about ‘TINA TURNER’ and ARETHA FRANKLIN ? I was very, very devastated by their passing!!!

  10. John Denver’s death affected me the hardest and still does to this day. Knew him in college and had one date with him before he was “John Denver”. His music still moves me.

  11. All entertainers passing broke my heart. When Ms. Houston passed, I cried for weeks.
When Chadwick Boseman passed, I thought I would never catch my breath.

  12. Jean Anne Baraclough

You missed the boat here, by four. What about the great Patsy Cline, John Denver, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson???

  13. They’re all tragedies.
It was Robin Williams death that saddened me the most. To be so tormented that you hang yourself.
I can’t imagine actually killing myself. I hope I never find the depth of despair that leads to suicide.

  14. Whereโ€™s Michael Jackson and Elvis on this list? Iโ€™m sure there are a few more but these 2 were much more famous and their deaths have cause much grief in the entertainment industry.

  15. Where is Janis Joplin? Rudolph Valentino? John F. Kennedy? Amelia Earhart? List is too short and way, way, way, way too many ads….

  16. I am shocked that Elvis wasnt listed maybe as No one for sure no lower than No Two but to be left out all together is SHOCKING

  17. For citizens that have worked for many a year putting money into Social Security and now bring told that it is running out, it is a slap in the face to give to illegals and deplete their funds faster. That was my money, my account (SSN), YOU WANT TO TAKE IT.

The better plan would be to reduce salaries of US Senators, Congressmen/women and the President, Vice President and the support staff of these functions to the average comparison American salary and ideally help fund Social Security or put that money in an Illegal Security Fund.

  18. Every human being dies in different ways and on different dates because they have to live through those experiences, there are no alternatives.

  19. Elizabeth Csicsery-Ronay

I”ve just been absolutely floored by the death of Alain Delon, considered the most beautiful man in cinema history, and a great actor with tremendous charisma. He was 88, true, still it has so many pple devastated. There are so many videos of him, interviews, on the internet. They are reviving his movies, some of which are the best in cinema history, like Purple Noon, Rocca and his Friends by the great Visconti, Eclipse by Antonioni, M. Klein, Losey”s masterpiece and Indian Summer by the greatly underrated Italian director, Valerio Zurlini.

  20. Frederick Jr. Fetty

Lots of talent along with equal amounts if stupidity. I was in Afghanistan when Robin Williams came over to entertain the troops. That man had the crudest words come out of his mouth. There was absolutely no reason for him to talk like that. HE COULD MAKE YOU LAUGH WITH A LOOK. It is a shame that so many talented people die from drug overdoses.
