This is another story where a president was lucky, and here’s what happened. In 2005, our 43rd president attended a rally in Tbilisi with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili. Suddenly, a hand grenade was thrown toward the American leader.

Luckily, both of them were behind a bulletproof barrier when the grenade landed around 100 feet away. It didn’t explode, and they were unharmed. The attacker, Vladimir Arutyunian, was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
