I guess “sweet home Alabama” has not been that sweet in the past few years, especially after Katrina and Dennis in 2005. If you decide to relocate to this state this year, you must know that the Gulf of Mexico area is heavily impacted by tornadoes, hurricanes, and other catastrophes, and the region’s hot and muggy summers are no joke.

Almost two years ago, the tornadoes “showed” that they were even more potent than the hurricanes because of their horrifying winds that exceeded 210 mph and caused almost 300 deaths. The damage was estimated to cost more than $1 billion.
