Located south of Tampa and north of Sarasota and located in the southern part of Hillsborough County, Sun City Center is a center that has attracted many seniors to spend their retirements there for decades. So devoted to the retirement community an ordinance requires that at least one member of all Sun City Center households governed by the community association be at least 55 and that anyone younger than 19 is prohibited from visiting more than 30 days a year.
It boasts many amenities geared towards entertainment, education, and recreation with indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, and seven golf courses. When it comes to the health of its residents, it has its own hospital and several nursing home facilities.

After 38 years we left Florida and moved to South Carolina were life is much more affordable and people are nicer. I think this article needs an update.

Several of these places in FL were negatively affected by Hurricane Ian. Not sure they are that good of a place to live right now.
