Did you know that some of our favorite actors lost their lives while filming?
Even though they love their jobs dearly, very few actors go to work intending to risk their lives, except Tom Cruise, known for the ever-more-dangerous stunts he pulls off with every “Mission: Impossible” film.
Sadly, the hands of fate are frequently still a mystery, and numerous on-camera stars have lost their lives to illnesses, accidents, and medical events. Because it casts a shadow over the entire production, the tragedy frequently becomes the most famousโor infamousโpart of it all.
While they tried their best to make a good impression, finish the movies in style, and live a great life, that wasn’t always possible. The following 4 stars have all entered with the greatest intentions, working with the cast and crew to produce the best possible final product, only for tragedy to strike. Each incident is tragic, and we want to pay our respects with this article. So, without further ado, here are some of the best actors who sadly passed away during filming:

Okay, who were they? I remember Tyrone Power, while filming “The Buccaneer” and Natalie Wood, while filming “Brainstorm”. Who were the other two? This Google website wouldn’t say.
Natalie Wood may have passed while production was happening, but she drowned in a suspicious boating accident not on set
That is correct
Natalie did not die while filming. She drowned while out on her boat with her husband and a family friend. It was a very suspicious drowning.
VIC morrow 53, Two child actors Rene Chen and Myca Dinn Lee all killed when a helicopter flew into them in the “Twilight Movie”
Brandon Lee Bruce Lee son 28 years old. Was killed when a dummy projectile hit him like a real gun.
David Jansen died February 14 while filming Father Damien, a priest who tended to Lepracy patients. The film had only been in production several days.
Couldn’t read the article, but Brandon Lee while filming The Crow, Vic Morrow and two child actors in the set of The Twilight Zone,
Not Natalie Wood, she died on a personal trip to Catalina, with her husband and another man. She drowned (under suspicious circumstances)
Cheri – Natalie Wood drowned while on a private yacht. She could not swim. Rumor has it that it was no “accident”
Actually she was on a break from Brainstorm
OK, wait. Vic Marrow was beheaded and “Just before he died he said he should’ve used a body double.” How is that even possible???
I read that to mean Before the accident, Not after he was involved.
They were making the movie Twilight Zone and also 2 oriental kids were killed we helicopter crashed.
Maybe they want to save the expenses thats why they dont spend the money for the double person. Its regretable Vic Morrow was my favorite character in TV series Combat
Those words were said right before he did the stunt.
He said it before he was killed…like he was having second thoughts about doing it.
He wasnโt keen on doing the helicopter scene inside and felt pressured to get it done due to time constraints and Director expectations. He said he wished he had opted to have the stunt double when he realized how much was expected of him, just before filming that fateful scene. So tragic. It shows just how dedicated he was to his craft and he just did his best for the sake of art and trusted the professionals behind the camera to make sound decisions and keep him safe, ego and poor preparation unfortunately robbed Mr Morrow of that.
It was during or just before the shot.
it was caught on film , vic saying that just before the helicopter came in !!
Vic Morrow died like you said; but two children also were killed during the filming of the helicopter scene. I believe the director got into a lot of trouble because the children were underage and they werenโt supposed to be using them at that time of day. I might be a little off about the exact story, but I think I was close as far as I remembered.
The other actor that died I believe was Brandon Lee when he was filming โThe Crowโ. He was Bruce Leeโs son.
You could have included Ezio Pinza who died on stage while performing in South Pacific/
Bruce Lee
Where did the article go
What about Eric Fleming who drowned awhile filming a movie in Africa. He was the star in the tv show Rawhide as Gil Favor the trail boss.
What about Jon Erik Hexum? That was a tragedy
I can’t seem to get a straight answer to this question; did Bela Lugosi die during the filming of “Plan 9” or not?
What about John Ritter of Three’s Company fame? He suffered a rare disease while filming a TV sitcom.
I did know about Vic Morrow. Loved his portrayal of being a soldier, several years before, in Combat.
Eric Fleming was another one. Drowned doing a movie in South America I think,
This is the worst site I have ever been on! It’s full of crappy ads that are fake! You should be ashamed of yourselves! I’ll never click on you page again.
Eric Flemming (Gil Favor on Rawhide) died in South America filming a river scene
who the actors die
My flying tigers dad was very saddened by the loss of Morrow as I was. Dad’s favorite show was combat, next to 12 o’clock high. Dad lived longer than Vic passing away at age 100, A decorated flying tigers recon pilot who lived life to its fullest seeing the world. He would point to scenes in combat and tell me, this is why I enlisted in the Air Force when I felt a war was coming.
What about JOHN CANDY??????
John Candy isn’t on the List for shame he was one of the great Comedians
There was a burly actor who ‘s last work was on the show Beaneath the Bottom of the sea starring Richard Basehart. The actor that died during filming was Henry Kulky who died of a massive heart attack. He was a professional wrestler then starred in show like superman and some westerns. The part he plaid in beaneath the sea was a chief or like in the army a seargant.
You forgot John Candy who had a heart attack and died while filming Wagons East in 1994. He was a comedy icon.
I remember the incident with Vic Morrow and the children who died. Horrible tragedy.
This is rediculous. We are bombarded with tons of unimportant junk and advertisements including a picture of the worst President in our history, Biden. But you find little to no information about the headlined topic this article claims to present. Only two names are given and those are from commentators, not Google. Last time I fall for this stuipd trick from Google.
Hey – what about Natalie Wood? She died at the age of 43 during filming “Brainstorm” with Christopher Walken. During a weekend trip to Catalina on her yacht “The Splendor” she drowned, which later sparked accusations her husband, Robert Wagner killed her over a possible affair. She’s been rated in the top 10 of the world’s most beautiful women.
