1. Murder at the Sun family’s residence
Maoye Sun, a man who was 50 years old, was last seen on January 24th, 2014, at 7:37 p.m., while he was leaving his workplace. Some sources said that he probably went straight to his house in Cypress, a Houston suburb, once he finished his shift.
It was roughly 9:18 p.m. when his 49-year-old wife, named Mei Xie, called. After that, they were not seen or heard from again. The next week, on January 30th, law enforcement officers discovered the open rear door and entered the residence.
When they arrived, they found Maoye, Mei, and their two kids, Timothy (age 9) and Titus (age 7), all dead in their respective beds. A bullet had pierced each of their skulls. Despite the FBI’s investigation, no one knows who murdered the Sun family or why.
2. Kennedy family
After not being picked up by his daughters for a scheduled medical appointment on March 5th, 1984, a man went straight to their homes to find out why.
They lived in Houston, and when he went there, he discovered that both of his daughters had been murdered in the house. Lillie, the younger sister, only had a head wound.
Yleen, on the other hand, was murdered in the most heinous ways: she was assaulted, beaten, and stabbed to death. A suspicious guy with a duffel bag was seen leaving a neighbor’s home around the time of the murder.
A neighbor approached him, even though he didn’t know about the murder at the time. He let him leave because he said his wife had just tossed him out of the house and all his belongings were in the duffel bag. Even though the man’s identity is still unknown, police suspect he was the murderer.
3. The arsonist from Cleveland
On the evening of December 10th, 2013, in a 4-unit apartment house in Cleveland, Ohio, Iona Davis was looking after her nieces, Glacia Ramsey, age 7, and Peaches Christburg, age 2.
Davis was locked in the bathroom after a masked man broke into their apartment at around 9:35 p.m. A short time later, she smelled smoke and ran out. She ran to a neighbor, who called 911 right away.
The 1st responders to the scene, the police, were devastated to find the bodies of the 2 young girls inside the bedroom of their 2nd-floor apartment. They passed away due to smoke inhalation.
The authorities have no idea why the intruder locked Davis in the bathroom and then set fire to the 1st floor. Unfortunately, the arsonist was never found.
