While the virus continues to spread and some people still refuse the vaccine, contact tracing will still be a necessary strategy to try and contain the virus. The tech giants like Google and Apple and developing contact tracing tools for your devices. However, with so much more of your personal information out there, it seems more and more likely that your personal information might be compromised.
Much like with surveillance, many people have the attitude that their personal information is in the hands of governments, and tech companies can only be for protecting the health and well-being of their citizens. However, as Wikileaks and Edward Snowden have clearly shown, your personal information can be used in much more nefarious ways.
