6. Alaska

If you’re planning a vacation to Alaska, I don’t want to disappoint you, but it was ranked as the most menacing state in the entire country. In 2022, Alaska’s crime rate was almost 32.14 per 1,000 people, making it the number one state with the highest crime rate. With almost 1,132 documented instances, Alaska has one of the highest rates of domestic violence in the country. Have you ever been to Alaska before? What do you think about these statistics?

7. South Carolina

Some folks might be surprised that South Carolina made our top 10 list. In contrast, South Carolina has some of the highest rates of violence and property crime in the country. Can you imagine that in 2020 there will be almost 22,000 reported robberies? That’s a lot! The crime rate in South Carolina exceeds the national average. South Carolina had the seventh-highest rates of violence and property crime among the 41 states that submitted reports this year.

That’s it! These were the seven most dangerous states in America, ranked here in no particular order. This is just a small list because there are still a lot of cities, small towns, and other places that are not only considered dangerous for tourists but also for the citizens themselves.
