Situated on 68 square miles, Washington, D.C. is home to the United States Capitol. Home to a ton of significant governmental institutions including the Supreme Court and the White House, you’d think it’s safe here but dang, it isn’t. The neighborhoods with the greatest rate of violent crime events in D.C. include Washington Highlands/Bellevue, Columbia Heights/Mount Pleasant, and Park View.

California is well-known for its vibrant cities and diversified people, but sadly, it also has a high rate of robberies. Due to their enormous metropolitan areas and socioeconomic differences, cities like Los Angeles and Oakland have unusually high rates. Property crimes are common in California and are linked to gang activity, drug addiction, and poverty.
