  • Tennessee

Tennessee has an alarming crime rate of 672.7 occurrences per 100,000 inhabitants, making it the third most dangerous state in the US. This troubling difference results from a confluence of variables, including a substantial proportion of young people and high rates of unemployment and poverty. Because of their comparatively high crime ratesโ€”more than 200% more than the national averageโ€”Dyersburg, Memphis, and Chattanooga are regarded as the most unsafe cities.

  • Alabama

Alarming crime figures are the main reason Alabama maintains its rank as one of the most hazardous states in the United States. With 8.3 homicide cases per 100,000 people, it has the seventh-highest incidence of homicide and ranks sixth in terms of assault events per person. With 3,185.26 incidences of total crime per 100,000 people, Alabama has a high rate of violent crime, which is indicative of the state’s problems.
