5. The Maze (Utah)

Its name makes you think that a lot of people are getting lost there. They actually do. The greatest danger you’ll face if you decide to visit The Maze is getting lost. Hiking there is not for everyone at all; even the most experienced hikers have difficulty completing the trail.

For starters, you must drive over 40 miles away from anyone or anything to get to your final destination. Once you arrive there, expect the hike to take several days to finish (really). Some folks make a whole vacation out of it and stay for more than a week, so you may want to reconsider your vacation plans.

6. New Smyrna Beach (Florida)

New Smyrna Beach is one of the most dangerous places in the US due to sharks. Although these scary marine creatures have injured many people, no lives have been lost as a result of their attacks. This encourages tourists to keep visiting New Smyrna Beach since there’s an illusion of safety.

Since officials started keeping a record in the late 1800s, more than 200 shark attacks on people have occurred there. As tourism shows no signs of slowing down, we should expect to hear of more shark attacks in the coming months. Just make sure you aren’t one of them.

7. Everglades National Park (Florida)

A number of endangered and rare animals can be found in Florida’s Everglades National Park. Among these are the Florida panther and manatee โ€” both are hardly seen by tourists no matter how many times they visit the place. However, the most dangerous thing you can actually see are the alligators and crocodiles that live in the swampy area.

Both of them have incredibly powerful teeth and jaws that they use to tear the prey apart. The park advises visitors to keep a distance of at least 15 feet away from these dangerous animals at all times.
