Billions of smartphone owners have become amateur photographers as a result of the invention and improvement of smartphones’ front and rear cameras. On top of that, it has generated a new trend โ€” selfies โ€” resulting in an increased number of selfie photographers.

This selfie craze, however, has brought to light a new kind of death, the one when you’re too busy taking a photo of yourself to see that you’re about to be in a life-threatening situation. Even though this form of death hasn’t been recognized as an official cause of death, our world is seeing a growth of selfie deaths, especially among young people.
