States that tornadoes skip!
Tornadoes can and did happen in all of the states. However, depending on the year and the weather conditions, they do not have a set appearance, and we cannot know when there will be fewer or more tornadoes. And despite it being daunting to think about so many tornadoes happening only last year, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There have been a few states that did not have any tornadoes last year!
The ones that have zero recorded tornadoes are Washington, D.C.; Maine; Alaska; Hawaii; Delaware; Rhode Island; and Massachusetts. Hopefully this year we do not see an increase in the number of tornadoes to the same scale we saw last year and that there will be no casualties caused by them!
And since tornadoes are still weather phenomena, we recommend you also check out which states are predicted to have the most extreme weather this year!
