Mechanical problems
This one is the first error that comes to our minds, no matter if we’re scared of flying or not! The plane will have some sort of technical problem, and the whole thing will come spiraling down in a horrible accident! It doesn’t help that movies have also played off this fear that people have had over the years, as plane crashes due to mechanical errors are quite frequent in horror or thriller movies.
Yet, while aircrafts are inspected frequently for any issues, there is a chance of something being defective and not being seen. Or that gets loose or breaks during the flight, as it’s not unheard of.
After all, planes haven’t been around for long, and they’re made of thousands of pieces and put through very harsh conditions in order to keep flying. Not to mention, human error has a part here too: some parts may have been repaired improperly or adjusted wrongly for the flight, and these can have devastating results.
