You may recognize this picture, given that Robin Williams was one of the biggest comedy actors and one of the most famous Hollywood celebrities out there. In the picture, we can see the late actor with his monkey, Crystal, which he posted on Instagram on his 63rd birthday. What we didn’t know was that this would be the last picture we would see of the actor, as he died 20 days later.
Unfortunately, the actor was misdiagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease when, in fact, he had a type of dementia that caused him to experience severe paranoia, among other symptoms. This paranoia is what led the actor to take his life by hanging himself a few weeks after his birthday. His death shocked the nation and shed light on how frequent misdiagnosis is fatal for people who are suffering.
