It doesn’t matter if you’re not in the area near the detonation! Unfortunately, radioactive fallout from the bomb could reach you through wind and air. Radioactive dust is easily spreadable, as it can be blown hundreds of miles and inhaled, but also caught in rain clouds.
What you really want is to find a place where there’s clay soil, but also underground water, so you could improvise and drill a well. You also want a supply of groundwater after the whole nuclear war is over, so you can use the water that passed through the soil and rocks the wide majority of the radioactive substance.

We can find old underground bomb shelters that were constructed during the second world war (WWII). Some old hospitals that I know have underground shelters.
A deterrent could be the threat that we will come for you with conventional methods after you have spent your nukes——– I, Grampa
We need to watch nursing homes because dems have been going in and harvesting votes from people who have been drooling on themselves for years. Totally unable to make a decision.
